Hi, I have this succulent, and for a while she didn’t do so well. She lost all the leaves on the lower part of her stem. I finally figured she was not getting enough sun and she’s doing much better now, but the stem is really long, so I’m wondering since it’s a succulent, do you think it could survive if I cut it in half, and repotted it? I’m just scared that eventually it’s going to snap in half from the weight.
Great news: your succulent would probably survive even if you cut it into three or four pieces!
I would cut right beneath the top rosette and repot that piece. the remaining stem can be cut back to three or four inches (keep it in the dirt just like it is) and babies should eventually grow along the stem.
